00:01:14 – Alfalfa Weevil Update and Potential for Pea Aphids: We begin today’s show with an update on alfalfa weevils in Kansas from K-State field crop entomologist Jeff Whitworth. Jeff shares that alfalfa weevils are officially hatching after the back and forth of warm and cool weather the last several weeks in Kansas. He provides advice on sampling fields, treatment thresholds, and how spraying can sometime lead to a boom in pea aphid populations.
