Snow overspreads the area late Saturday afternoon and evening, with the heaviest snow occurring between midnight and sunrise early Sunday morning. A widespread 3 to 6 inches of snow is forecast by the time the system ends midday Sunday, with the heaviest snow along and south of Interstate 70.

Winds of 20 to 30 mph, combined with the falling snow, will lead to reduced visibilities and drifting of snow. Colder air also arrives with this storm, pushing wind chill values down well below zero by Sunday morning. Be prepared and bundle up as you go out to shovel snow!
